How To Use Your PenPal AI Pen

Step 1: Charge Your Pen

Connect your PenPal AI pen to any USB-C charger. A full charge takes approximately 1-2 hours and gives you up to 4 hours of continuous use. The battery indicator on screen will show when it's fully charged.

Step 2: Power On

Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds. The HD touchscreen will light up and display the home menu with all available features.

Step 3: Connect to Wi-Fi (Optional)

For the full AI experience, connect to your Wi-Fi network through the Settings menu. This enables ChatGPT-powered answers and software updates. Note: basic scanning, translation, and text-to-speech work offline too.

Step 4: Scan Text

Hold the pen at a slight angle over the text you want to scan. Press the scan button and slowly glide the pen across the text. The built-in camera will capture the words and display them on your screen instantly.

Step 5: Get AI Answers

Once text is scanned, tap the AI button to get instant answers, explanations, and solutions. PenPal uses advanced AI to understand your questions and provide accurate, helpful responses.

Step 6: Translate

Select the translation feature from the menu, choose your target language from 140+ options, and scan any text. The translation appears on screen instantly — and you can tap the speaker icon to hear the pronunciation.

Step 7: Voice Record

Tap the voice recording icon on the home screen to start recording lectures, meetings, or study notes. Tap again to stop and save. Your recordings are stored on the device for playback anytime.

Tips for Best Results

  • Hold the pen at a 45-degree angle for the best scan quality
  • Scan in good lighting for clearer text recognition
  • Move the pen slowly and steadily across the text
  • For handwritten text, ensure the writing is legible and clear
  • Keep the pen charged regularly for the best performance
